Success can be defined in any number of ways. What it all boils down to is, Did you reach your goals?
Some people try to define success by whether or not they perform to someone else’s standards or the vaguely defined society’s standards. In fact, using such measurements with regard to your child’s education is a sure way to fail.
Education is about values. Values are intrinsically wrapped up in the process of learning, no matter what teaching methods you use. Whoever has the most influence over your child will be the one who defines the values that your child lives by for his entire life. You want that person to be you, right?
Just remember, homeschooling is more than just reading, writing and arithmetic. Your success depends on what you value most.
