If you’re looking for a good homeschooling curriculum that isn’t centered around religion, if you don’t have a religious preference yourself, or you want to give your children a choice and let them pick their own religion based on the available choioce when the reach the age of maturity, then the Robinson method may be for you.

The Robinson Curriculum teaches children how to teach themselves. The creators of this curriculum realized that people who teach themselves learn more and retain more. By teaching children good study habits and a love or lifelong learning, you ensure that their education never stops - even long after they leave home.

Dr. Arthur Robinson, a scientist and research professor at the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine designed this program to be flexible in allowing parents to use the curriculum in conjunction with others or as a standalone curriculum. He developed the curriculum while homeschooling his six children. Robinson started homeschooling with his wife and when she died in 1988 he continued the program, developing his curriculum from K-12.
